Recent National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble guidance indicate overnight lows for Los Angeles on September 6 will likely range from the upper 60s to low 70s, driven by a marine layer and increasing cloud cover from an approaching trough. Onshore southwest flow and a 50% chance of showers or thunderstorms during the day should limit radiational cooling overnight, keeping minimum temperatures elevated compared to clear-sky September averages near 64°F. Model consensus shows modest spread tied to exact timing of cloud breaks and dew point recovery, with recent days posting lows of 64–67°F at LAX. Traders appear to weigh these factors against historical variability, where marine influences often push daily minima into the 68–73°F range under similar late-summer patterns. Updated NWS briefings and next model runs will refine the resolution range.
