This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 19 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=zhcc If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Trader sentiment for Zhengzhou's September 19 low centers on 18–20°C because official forecasts and real-time observations cluster tightly around 19–20.5°C amid cloudy, humid conditions that limit overnight cooling.** Multiple sources, including local Chinese forecasts and international models (e.g., GFS-influenced outputs), project a daily minimum near 20°C, with some indicating 19°C under overcast skies and light rain chances. Current evening temperatures hover in the mid-20s°C, and high humidity (often 60–90%) plus cloud cover act as a thermal blanket, preventing sharp radiational cooling typical of clearer nights. Key scientific differentiators include the precise strength of the urban heat island effect in Zhengzhou, minor wind shifts (light northerly or variable flows), and any late-evening shower activity that could alter the minimum by 1–2°C. Historical September averages for the city feature lows near 18–19°C, but today's elevated moisture and persistent cloudiness push the distribution higher. With resolution imminent on this date, the near-even split between the top outcomes reflects model consensus around 19–20°C tempered by small uncertainties in exact measurement timing and local microclimates. Lower probabilities for 15–17°C or 21°C+ align with the narrow observed range and lack of strong cold advection.
