Recent opinion polls for New Zealand’s 7 November 2026 general election under the MMP system show Labour and National trading narrow leads, followed by the Greens consistently ahead of New Zealand First and other minor parties. Greens support has held near 10–13 percent across multiple surveys, while New Zealand First has slipped to around 8–10 percent amid the Opportunity Party’s surge to similar levels and broader voter shifts on cost-of-living issues. ACT remains lower at 7–9 percent, keeping it behind the Greens in seat projections. These patterns, reflected in the latest 1News–Verian and Taxpayers’ Union–Curia results, underpin trader consensus favoring the Greens for third place while leaving room for volatility from threshold dynamics and late campaign movements.
