**US Dollar Index (DXY) sentiment for the week of September 14, 2026, centers on the Federal Open Market Committee’s September 16-17 policy decision.** Markets price roughly an 87% chance of a 25 basis point hike after August CPI and PPI prints exceeded expectations, lifting the 10-year Treasury yield near 4.97% and the two-year yield by 13 basis points. Surging oil prices above $100 per barrel amid Middle East tensions have reinforced inflation concerns and supported real yields. DXY trades near 99.1, consolidating after recent swings between roughly 98.6 and 99.4, with the euro weighting in the basket and relative central-bank paths remaining key swing factors. Stable labor data showing 4.1% unemployment adds to the data backdrop ahead of the FOMC’s Summary of Economic Projections.
