Silver trades near $64.50 per ounce as of September 13, 2026, after a sharp pullback from earlier 2026 highs above $120 amid stronger U.S. inflation prints and firmer Treasury yields. Hotter August PPI data (0.4% monthly, 5.4% annual) lifted odds of a Federal Reserve rate hike at the September 15-16 FOMC meeting to around 70%, pressuring precious metals through a stronger dollar and higher real yields. Persistent structural supply deficits (projected at 46.3 million ounces for 2026) and steady industrial demand from solar and electronics provide underlying support, while the gold-silver ratio near the mid-60s reflects silver’s hybrid monetary-industrial exposure. Traders will focus on the upcoming CPI release and FOMC outcome for near-term directional cues.
