General elections to elect the Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly are scheduled to take place on August 1, 2026. This market will resolve to the party or coalition that wins the greatest number of seats in the Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly as a result of this election. If voting in the specified election does not occur, or if the results of the specified election are not known definitively, by January 31, 2027, this market will resolve to "Other". In the event of a tie between multiple parties or coalitions for the most seats won, this market will resolve in favor of the party or coalition that received a greater number of valid votes. In the event that results in a tie, this market will resolve in favor of the party or coalition whose listed abbreviation appears first in alphabetical order. A representative will count towards the named party or coalition under which he or she runs in the specified election, as indicated by official information from the Election Commission of Malaysia (SPR) (https://mysprsemak.spr.gov.my/). Whether any listed party or coalition engages in a parliamentary coalition with any other listed party or coalition will have no bearing on this market. This market will resolve based on the result of the election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on official information from the Malaysia and Negeri Sembilan governments, including the Election Commission of Malaysia (SPR) (https://mysprsemak.spr.gov.my/).The 2026 Negeri Sembilan state election, scheduled for 1 August, features a fragmented contest among PH, BN, PN, and Bersatu amid a snap poll called in early June. PH, holding the incumbent Menteri Besar post, seeks to defend its position after Johor losses, while BN and PN have signaled cooperation on the campaign trail. Bersatu's slight market edge reflects its targeted seat strategy and internal coalition dynamics within PN, yet the sub-52% pricing across major outcomes underscores high uncertainty driven by multi-cornered fights, 103 confirmed candidates, and shifting voter alignments in a 36-seat assembly. Key upcoming factors include final coalition pacts, turnout in mixed urban-rural areas, and any late momentum from federal-level signals that could consolidate support for one bloc over fragmented alternatives.
