Apvienotais Saraksts (AS) holds the strongest position in trader consensus for the October 3, 2026, Saeima election, reflecting its recent role leading the four-party caretaker coalition under Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs after the May government collapse triggered by drone incidents and coalition disputes. Latest SKDS polling shows AS ahead at 17–19 percent, ahead of Latvia First (LPV) and Sovereign Power (SV), amid voter shifts toward right-leaning and populist options on security, regional issues, and economic concerns. The 5 percent threshold and proportional representation system favor established lists like AS, while Progressives (PRO) and National Alliance (NA) trail due to coalition realignments and lower current support. Upcoming debates and campaign developments through early autumn remain key variables that could adjust these implied probabilities.
