The closely matched probabilities for Jaunā Vienotība and Latvia First stem from Latvia's fragmented proportional representation system ahead of the October 3 Saeima vote, where recent SKDS and Gemius surveys show no party exceeding 15 percent support. Voter dissatisfaction with the incumbent New Unity-led coalition's handling of economic pressures and scandals has lifted Latvia First and the Progressives in spring polling, while Jaunā Vienotība retains an incumbency edge and historical polling resilience. National Alliance, Stabilitātei!, and Sovereign Power remain viable contenders that could fragment the vote further or form post-election blocs. With more than 40 percent of voters undecided, summer economic data releases and coalition announcements could quickly alter the current trader consensus.
