Recent National Weather Service and private forecasts project a high of 94–96°F for Houston on August 30 under persistent high pressure, mostly sunny skies, and light southerly winds, following the end of an eight-day 100°F+ streak broken by Friday storms. High humidity will keep heat indices near 105°F, but actual air temperatures are expected to peak in the mid-to-upper 90s with minimal cloud cover or precipitation risk. This consensus aligns with market-implied odds heavily favoring the 94–97°F bins, as traders weigh stable model runs and climatological norms for late August against any last-minute moisture or wind shifts that could nudge readings slightly lower or higher.
