Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Ensemble forecasts from the Met Office and ECMWF currently center London’s maximum temperature for May 18 near 14–16 °C, positioning 15 °C as the leading market-implied outcome amid an unsettled Atlantic low-pressure system tracking across the UK. This setup favors cooler-than-average conditions, with the seasonal climatological mean for mid-May around 16–17 °C at London City Airport, reflecting a modest negative anomaly driven by increased cloud cover and northerly flow. Model runs show limited spread, though small shifts in the low’s track or timing could push the high toward 16 °C or keep it at 14 °C by late afternoon. Traders are weighting the consensus heavily given the short time to resolution and the reliability of these dynamical models for single-day temperature extremes.
