Recent National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts indicate mostly cloudy skies with onshore westerly flow and a persistent marine layer will limit daytime heating in San Francisco on September 20, supporting highs primarily in the mid-60s. This pattern aligns with the market’s heavy weighting toward the 64–67°F bands, as cloud cover and moderate southwest winds suppress the typical September warming that historically averages near 71°F. Updated guidance shows no significant offshore shift or clear-sky burn-off expected before peak afternoon temperatures, keeping probabilities for 68°F or higher constrained while elevating the 66–67°F outcome. Traders appear to be pricing the narrow range of official KSFO station readings likely under these stable synoptic conditions ahead of final verification.
