Persistent southerly flow and clear skies under high pressure are sustaining elevated overnight lows across North Texas, with latest GFS and regional model runs projecting Dallas minimum temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s on September 16. Limited radiative cooling from high humidity and warm-air advection from the Gulf, combined with the absence of a frontal passage or significant cloud cover, supports this warmer baseline relative to the 1991–2020 climatological average low near 70°F. The near-even market split between sub-72°F and 90°F+ outcomes reflects trader assessment of residual forecast spread in short-range guidance and potential for minor model adjustments before resolution, while mid-70s to mid-80s bins capture the current consensus range.
