The tightly bunched probabilities around 47% for Charles Leclerc, Lando Norris, Kimi Antonelli, Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, Oscar Piastri, and George Russell reflect the inherent unpredictability of who will claim the fastest lap at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. In Formula 1, this award often hinges on late-race tire strategy, with drivers on fresh soft compounds pushing in the final stint after pit stops, a dynamic that rewards cars with strong straight-line speed on the long back straight and good traction through the chicanes. Recent qualifying form and practice pace show minimal gaps among the leading teams, while variables like potential safety car periods or weather shifts could open the door for an underdog from the midfield to post the quickest time. Trader consensus captures this balanced field without clear separation.
