This market will resolve according to the length of the longest filmed handshake between Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu during the day (ET) of their next meeting by July 31, 2026. Any handshake recorded on that date (ET) will qualify. This market will resolve at the earlier of: (i) the publication of full-length video confirming the length of a qualifying handshake; or (ii) 11:59 PM ET on the third calendar day following the date of the meeting. If no handshake is confirmed by 11:59 PM ET on the third calendar day following the date of the meeting, or if no meeting takes place by July 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “No Handshake”. If a handshake is photographed but its full length is not captured on a video released by 11:59 PM ET on the third calendar day following the date of the meeting, this market will resolve to "Photographed only". Duration will be measured from the exact moment their hands make initial physical contact until the exact moment either breaks contact. If the measured duration falls exactly on the boundary between two duration brackets, this market will resolve to the higher bracket. Qualifying Requirements: The handshake must be voluntary, intentional, and in person. Direct hand-to-hand contact is required (gloves or mittens are permitted). The handshake must be clearly visible on video from start to finish. Non-qualifying examples: Fist bumps, hugs, waves, or other non-handshake greetings. Any handshake that is too unclear to measure. Only photographic evidence exists without a way to measure duration. The resolution source will be photographic and videographic evidence.Netanyahu’s scheduled White House meeting with President Trump on Tuesday, set amid active U.S.-Israel coordination on Iran and regional conflicts, is driving trader focus on the greeting. Recent phone calls between the leaders and Netanyahu’s repeated requests for the face-to-face session have improved bilateral ties after prior strains, yet the formal Oval Office setting, attendance at Senator Lindsey Graham’s funeral, and emphasis on policy substance rather than optics favor shorter or absent public handshakes. Market pricing reflects uncertainty over protocol, photographic opportunities, and any last-minute adjustments that could alter the interaction length.
