Gold prices remain sensitive to Federal Reserve policy expectations and real yield movements heading into the week of August 31, 2026. Recent inflation readings and labor market data have shaped trader views on the pace of any further rate adjustments, with the dollar and Treasury yields serving as primary transmission channels. Persistent central bank buying and geopolitical risk premiums continue to underpin physical demand, while equity volatility and safe-haven flows add short-term momentum. Key upcoming catalysts include scheduled economic releases that could shift market-implied odds on monetary easing or tightening. These dynamics collectively frame the range-bound yet event-driven environment for XAUUSD.
