National Weather Service forecasts and supporting model guidance indicate a high near 95°F for Houston on September 21 under mostly sunny skies with only a slight afternoon thunderstorm chance, aligning with the market's strong 62.5% weighting on 94-95°F. Persistent high pressure and light southeast winds are maintaining typical late-summer warmth without significant cooling influences, while historical September averages near 90°F underscore the current elevated readings. Minor model spreads support the combined 40.5% probability on adjacent 92-93°F and 96-97°F bins, though updated runs or unexpected cloud cover could shift outcomes. Traders are monitoring the next NHC and local forecast discussions for any adjustments ahead of resolution.
