Current forecast consensus from global and regional models points to a peak temperature of 29–32°C in Wuhan on September 20 under partly cloudy skies with light northwest-to-northeast winds. This range reflects typical mid-September transition conditions, where daytime solar heating under variable cloud cover drives the daily maximum, tempered by moderate humidity and minimal precipitation. Model spreads arise from differences in predicted cloud timing and boundary-layer mixing, with clearer scenarios favoring the upper end near 32°C. Traders appear to weigh these uncertainties against historical September averages around 28–30°C, keeping probabilities tightly clustered while awaiting the next China Meteorological Administration or ECMWF updates before market resolution.
