Persistent showers driven by a northward-shifting autumn rain front are suppressing daytime heating across the Kanto region, with northerly flow and extensive cloud cover limiting insolation on September 11. Official Japan Meteorological Agency guidance and ensemble model consensus point to a daily maximum near 20–22 °C amid widespread rain and high humidity, well below the September climatological average of roughly 28 °C. Recent observations from September 10 already showed a sharp drop to 22.5 °C under similar conditions, reinforcing trader positioning around 20–22 °C outcomes. Updated short-range forecasts and any late adjustments to frontal timing remain the key near-term catalysts.
