Recent ensemble forecasts from European meteorological models highlight clear skies and light northeasterly winds over Madrid, promoting strong radiative cooling overnight and supporting minimum temperatures near or below the 14.5°C September 22 climatological average. This setup aligns with the 71.5% market-implied odds for 14°C or lower, as traders weigh the potential for localized cold pockets against warmer daytime highs near 32°C. Recent cooler anomalies in mid-September, including a 13.2°C low on the 10th, reinforce caution around model spread, while upcoming AEMET updates and any shifts in high-pressure positioning could alter the overnight trajectory before resolution.
