Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate mostly sunny skies and light easterly flow over Houston on September 19 under a persistent mid-level ridge, supporting afternoon highs in the low-to-mid 90s. This pattern features strong subsidence, minimal cloud cover, and dew points in the mid-60s that limit extreme heat while keeping temperatures well above the late-September climatological average of roughly 89 °F. Ensemble forecasts show tight clustering around 93–95 °F, with only modest spread from local boundary-layer mixing or slight steering variations. The market’s concentration on the 92–93 °F bin reflects this consensus while assigning residual probability to the adjacent bins in recognition of typical forecast uncertainty ranges for daily maximum temperature. No significant frontal passage or tropical moisture is expected before the period.
