Recent forecast models, including GFS runs updated on September 17, point to a highest temperature in Beijing on September 18 most likely in the 27–30°C range under partly cloudy skies with light easterly winds and possible scattered drizzle. These conditions align with the market-implied probabilities favoring 29°C and 28°C, as afternoon peaks are expected near 27–29°C amid moderate humidity and no strong frontal systems. Historical September averages in the city hover around 25–28°C, providing context for the current consensus. Upcoming National Meteorological Center updates and refined model ensembles over the next 12–24 hours represent key data points that could shift trader sentiment if they revise peak readings downward due to increased cloud cover or precipitation.
