**Trader consensus centers on a 76-77°F high for Los Angeles on September 18, carrying 62% implied probability, with 74-75°F next at 26%.** This positioning aligns with current numerical weather prediction model output, including GFS guidance, showing afternoon maxima in the mid- to upper 70s under persistent southwest onshore flow. Marine-layer influence and typical September climatology—featuring average highs near 76°F at coastal stations like LAX—limit warming despite clear skies expected after morning low clouds. Recent observations from September 16–17 recorded highs of 79–77°F, with no heat-wave signals or offshore wind events to push temperatures higher. Lower-probability bins (78°F+) reflect only modest upside risk from model spread or slight weakening of the marine layer, while cooler outcomes remain unlikely given stable high pressure and light winds. Resolution will hinge on the official NWS daily maximum at Los Angeles International Airport, with the latest model runs reinforcing the narrow 74–78°F window.
