This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Miami Intl Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 26 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=kmia This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data is unavailable or missing for the observation period, Weather Underground will be used as the secondary resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast models from the National Weather Service and private providers indicate a highest temperature in Miami on August 26 most likely in the upper 80s to low 90s Fahrenheit.** Widespread thunderstorms and showers, with 60-70% probability, are expected to increase cloud cover and deliver rain-cooled air, limiting peak heating despite typical late-August humidity and southeast flow. This setup explains the market’s concentration around 90-91°F (47.5% implied probability) and 88-89°F (22.5%), which align with the consensus range across WeatherBug (87°F), local outlooks (89°F), and NWS guidance (near 89°F). Lower outcomes (86-87°F) receive secondary support from models showing heavier afternoon convection, while the modest tail on 92-93°F reflects residual uncertainty if storms remain isolated. Historical August averages near 90-91°F provide context, but the elevated storm risk this period has shifted trader sentiment toward the slightly cooler side of climatology. New model runs and morning observations on the 26th will refine these probabilities as the day’s steering patterns and instability evolve.
