Recent National Weather Service guidance and ensemble forecasts indicate a high-pressure ridge building over the Pacific Northwest, promoting clear to partly cloudy skies and light northerly flow that favors daytime warming in Seattle on September 9. Model consensus centers on a maximum temperature near 76°F, with limited afternoon mixing and minimal marine influence supporting that outcome while keeping the risk of exceeding 80°F low. This aligns with the market’s heavy weighting toward the 76-77°F bin and explains the secondary support for 78-79°F amid typical forecast spread. Historical September averages near 72°F provide context for the current warmer signal, though traders continue monitoring the next model runs for any adjustments in ridge strength or onshore flow.
