Official forecasts from Singapore’s Meteorological Service and NEA for September 22 point to a daytime maximum near 34 °C with afternoon thundery showers, yet persistent cloud cover and rainfall timing often limit peaks. This aligns with the market’s concentration on 32 °C (44.5 %) and 33 °C (24.5 %), as September climatology shows a long-term average high of 31.6 °C and typical variability of ±1–2 °C. Strong El Niño conditions prevailing in 2026 have produced above-normal warmth and reduced rainfall early in the month, supporting elevated odds for 31–33 °C outcomes while keeping probabilities for 34 °C or higher low. Updated model runs and the official observation from Changi or the climate station tomorrow will resolve the market.
