This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Singapore Changi Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 6 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=wsss If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Trader consensus on the Polymarket strongly favors a maximum temperature of 33°C (67.5% implied probability) for Singapore on September 6, 2026, followed by 34°C (17.5%) and 32°C (8.5%).** These align closely with official and ensemble forecasts showing daytime highs of 31–34°C under prevailing southwest monsoon conditions. Singapore’s equatorial location produces narrow temperature ranges year-round, with September climatological averages of 31.6°C for daily maxima (1991–2020 normals from the Meteorological Service Singapore). Current model guidance from sources including the Met Office, timeanddate.com, and regional forecasts indicates peak readings near 32–33°C on the 6th, driven by southeasterly to southwesterly flow, limited cloud cover in the afternoon, and dry regional conditions that reduce evaporative cooling. Recent observations from early September show similar maxima around 32–33°C amid ongoing dry weather and transboundary haze from Sumatra and Kalimantan, which can modestly enhance surface heating by scattering incoming solar radiation. The modest probability mass on 34°C reflects uncertainty in afternoon instability or slight forecast variations, while lower outcomes (32°C or below) remain possible if morning showers or thicker cloud build-up occur. Resolution will depend on the official daily maximum recorded at Changi or equivalent stations, consistent with typical inter-monsoon or monsoon-transition patterns where brief peaks above the monthly mean are common but extremes beyond 35°C are rare in early September.
