Prevailing southwest monsoon conditions combined with strengthening El Niño effects are driving the 68% implied probability on a 33°C high for September 7 in Singapore. Official Meteorological Service Singapore outlooks project daily maxima of 33–35°C through mid-month under dry, southeasterly flow with only isolated afternoon thundery showers possible. Model consensus and recent station readings show typical peaks near 33°C when cloud cover remains limited, consistent with below-average rainfall and elevated regional temperatures. Traders appear to weigh the narrow window before any intensification of showers or haze against climatological baselines, with 34°C as the next most likely outcome if subsidence strengthens further. Updated MSS briefings on September 6 will provide the final observational constraints ahead of market resolution.
