**Forecast consensus from MetService and international models positions 15–16°C as the most likely daily maximum for Wellington on September 14, 2026.** A strengthening ridge of high pressure over the Tasman Sea is delivering stable, fine conditions with light northerly winds and partly cloudy skies, supporting modest warming above the seasonal average of roughly 13°C. Current runs show highs clustered between 14°C and 16°C, with limited model spread and negligible precipitation risk. Traders are pricing the tight range heavily because resolution hinges on official maximum readings, and fresh model updates or observational tweaks in the next 48 hours could shift probabilities if winds strengthen or cloud cover increases.
