**Persistent heat and high humidity are keeping overnight lows elevated in Atlanta, with current forecasts centering the September 4 low in the mid-70s.** As of early September 2026, the region remains under a warm air mass with daytime highs in the mid-90s (near or above early-September normals of ~86°F) and heat indices exceeding 100°F. Forecasts from sources including WeatherBug, Global Meteo, and local NWS-aligned outlooks project Friday night lows of 74–79°F under mostly clear to partly cloudy skies, light southeast winds, and elevated dew points that limit radiational cooling. This pattern follows several days of above-normal temperatures and minimal nocturnal mixing, contrasting with the 1991–2020 climatological average low of ~68.6°F for the date. Model consensus supports the market’s leading bins (74–75°F and 76–77°F, each at 42.5% implied probability), with the narrow split reflecting uncertainty in exact minimums driven by subtle variations in cloud cover, wind, or boundary-layer moisture. New model runs and evening observations on September 3 will refine guidance ahead of the overnight period.
