Chen Su-yueh holds the dominant position in the Changhua County Magistrate race as the Democratic Progressive Party nominee, with traders assigning her an 83.5% implied probability. This reflects her established legislative record representing the county, successful primary performance against intra-party challengers, and the absence of a finalized Kuomintang nominee to date. Potential KMT contenders such as Wei Ping-cheng remain under consideration while others like former mayor Chiu Chien-fu explore independent bids after resigning party membership. These dynamics, combined with the November 2026 local election timeline, have kept fragmentation among remaining candidates elevated and reinforced Chen's lead in crowd-sourced assessments. Late nominations or shifts in local party alignment could still adjust the field before voting.
