Recent revelations in February 2026 from unsealed search warrants and emails indicated Jeffrey Epstein used private investigators to move computers, hard drives, and files into at least six undisclosed U.S. storage units ahead of earlier raids on his properties, with authorities apparently never searching them. Subsequent developments, including the Justice Department’s January 2026 release of over three million Epstein-related documents and ongoing state-level inquiries such as New Mexico’s commission, have focused on archival disclosures and subpoenas rather than new physical searches. No raids, warrants, or official actions targeting these units have been reported through August 2026, supporting trader consensus that the probability of such events occurring this year remains low absent major new triggers.
