This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Istanbul Airport in degrees Celsius on 19 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=LTFM To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent forecasts for mid-August 2026 indicate Istanbul will likely see a daily maximum near 31°C (88°F) on the 19th under mostly sunny conditions, consistent with seasonal norms where highs typically range 28–32°C amid high humidity. Primary drivers include strong solar insolation during peak daylight hours, limited cloud cover, and the moderating influence of surrounding seas that cap extremes through sea-breeze circulation. Northeasterly meltem winds often enhance mixing and prevent rapid warming, while the urban heat island effect in the densely built core can add 2–4°C overnight and into daytime peaks. Short-term model consensus from regional meteorological agencies shows low day-to-day variability this late in summer, with minimal precipitation risk supporting stable temperatures. Updated forecast runs closer to the date will refine exact maxima and any wind or cloud shifts that could alter the daily high.
