Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Persistent marine layer and onshore flow are anchoring San Francisco highs near seasonal norms for August 25, 2026, with National Weather Service and private forecasts centering on 67–72°F.** A stable weather pattern featuring an eastern Pacific trough and high pressure over the Southwest has maintained a consistent marine layer depth of roughly 1,000–1,500 feet, limiting daytime warming along the immediate coast while allowing slightly warmer readings if afternoon clearing occurs. Climatological August highs average about 69°F, with daily values rarely exceeding 79°F or falling below 64°F. Recent observations show a multi-day stretch of 66–69°F readings, and current model consensus points to continued mid-60s to low-70s conditions without significant heat advection or offshore flow to push temperatures higher. Trader-implied probabilities clustering in the 70–73°F range reflect the possibility of partial marine-layer erosion or subtle warming, while the cooler brackets capture the risk of thicker stratus or stronger onshore winds. No major forecast shifts have emerged in the past 48 hours, leaving resolution dependent on the final NWS guidance and observed maximum at official stations.
