Hsu Hsin-ying holds an 88.5% implied probability in the Hsinchu County Magistrate race as the Kuomintang nominee following her March 2026 primary victory over incumbent deputy magistrate Chen Chien-hsien amid internal party disputes over selection rules. The KMT has controlled the county government since 2001, providing structural advantages in local voter networks and administrative continuity ahead of the November 28 vote. DPP candidate Cheng Chao-fang trails at 12%, reflecting the opposition party's weaker position in this jurisdiction, while minor contenders including Lin Szu-ming register under 2%. Recent party coordination meetings in early August have focused on unity efforts without introducing new polling shifts or external disruptions that would alter the current trader consensus.
