This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the LaGuardia Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 30 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=klga This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast consensus and recent model runs position the overnight low for August 30 in the mid-to-upper 60s.** Official and ensemble guidance from sources such as NOAA-aligned models and private forecasters project minimum temperatures of 66–69°F at Central Park and LaGuardia, with the 66–67°F bin capturing the highest market-implied probability (35.5%) followed by 68–69°F (24.5%). This reflects typical late-August radiative cooling under a stable high-pressure ridge, light southwest winds of 5–10 mph, and partial cloud cover that limits further temperature drops. **Atmospheric conditions favor this range over deeper cooling.** Dew points near 60–65°F and modest humidity support gradual overnight decline rather than rapid radiational cooling, while the urban heat island effect and proximity to the Atlantic keep readings above historical record lows for the date (around 50°F). Recent August observations show a slight warming bias relative to the 1991–2020 climatological low of ~66°F, with multiple days recording minima in the mid-60s amid variable cloud cover and light winds. **Key upcoming data points include the next NWS forecast updates and model runs through the evening of August 29.** Any strengthening sea breeze, increased cloud cover, or unexpected precipitation could nudge the low toward the 64–65°F or 70–71°F bins, but current guidance shows limited spread and low precipitation probability, keeping trader sentiment anchored near the climatological norm.
