Recent declines in highly pathogenic avian influenza cases have enabled U.S. layer flock recovery and higher egg production, creating oversupply that pushed BLS-reported retail prices for Grade A large eggs to $2.27 per dozen in August 2026, down sharply from 2025 peaks above $6. Wholesale benchmarks near 36 cents per dozen reflect margins below production costs around 78 cents, reinforcing trader positioning around the $2.10–$2.40 brackets as the dominant outcomes. Stable feed costs and seasonal demand patterns provide limited upward pressure through September resolution, while persistent but reduced disease risk and inventory levels anchor the market-implied distribution.

Resolution of this market will take place upon the update of the St. Louis Fed's chart. If no data for the specified month is released by the date the next month's data is scheduled to be released, this market will resolve based on data from the last available month.
The resolution source for this market measures prices to the third decimal place. Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
