**Current forecasts from the National Weather Service and models like those referenced by WeatherBug place Austin's overnight low near 77°F on September 3, 2026, amid a hot, humid late-summer pattern with daytime highs in the upper 90s to near 100°F and scattered afternoon thunderstorm chances around 40-50%.** This aligns with climatological norms for early September (average low ~71°F) but sits well above historical records near 59°F, reflecting persistent southerly flow and limited frontal activity. Trader sentiment shows elevated probabilities on both sub-70°F (34.5%) and 88°F+ (29.5%) outcomes because short-range model runs can shift with minor changes in steering winds, moisture, or overnight cloud cover from storms, while mid-range bins cluster near 25% amid genuine forecast spread. Key upcoming updates from NWS Austin/San Antonio and refined model guidance over the next 48 hours will likely tighten these implied odds as land-based observations and ensemble consensus refine the minimum temperature expectation.
