Current forecast models show a spread of possible overnight lows in Houston on September 18 driven by uncertain cloud cover and boundary-layer moisture under weak high pressure. National Weather Service guidance and ensemble runs indicate temperatures most likely settling near 78–79°F, with clearer skies and lighter winds favoring the lower end of the distribution while increased humidity or scattered clouds could hold readings in the low 80s. Historical September climatology places typical minimums around 74°F, but recent warm advection has elevated baselines. Key variables include the timing of any weak frontal passage and model differences in dewpoint forecasts, with updated guidance from NOAA expected to narrow the range before market resolution.
