Ruth González Silva leads the San Luis Potosí gubernatorial market at 64.5% as the PVEM's frontrunner for the 2027 election, backed by current Governor Ricardo Gallardo's public endorsement in July 2026 and consistent polling leads of 30-45% in surveys from firms like Mendoza Blanco & Asociados and El Heraldo de México. The PVEM's position as the state's strongest party, with autonomy from Morena-PT alliances, supports trader consensus on her prospects. Other names such as Gerardo Sánchez Zumaya (8%), Enrique Galindo Ceballos (0.8%), and Rubén Guajardo Barrera (3.2%) trail due to lower name recognition and party positioning, while Morena's internal candidate selection remains open amid anti-nepotism tensions. Recent cabinet adjustments and party registration activity reinforce the focus on established frontrunners ahead of primary processes.
