Recent cold air advection across central Argentina has driven market focus on a potential minimum near or below 5°C for Buenos Aires on September 9, even as official Servicio Meteorológico Nacional guidance and ensemble models from GFS and ECMWF point to overnight lows of 8–11°C under northeast flow and high pressure. A sharp cooldown earlier in the month, with a 2.4°C reading on September 6, supports trader emphasis on residual cool anomalies, while warming daytime trends and light winds limit further drops. Updated model runs and SMN briefings over the next 48 hours will refine resolution criteria for this 24-hour minimum.
