Recent National Weather Service and private forecast models converge on a low around 65–66°F for New York City on August 29, driven by clear skies, light northerly flow, and radiative cooling under high pressure following a mild Friday. This places the 66–67°F bin at the center of trader expectations, with 48% implied probability, while the 64–65°F range captures downside risk if boundary-layer mixing is weaker than modeled. Historical climatology shows an average minimum of 66.4°F, so current guidance aligns closely with seasonal norms rather than an outlier. Updated model runs tonight and official NWS overnight forecasts will provide the next key data points before the minimum is observed.
