Trader consensus on Polymarket reflects a 92.5% implied probability for "No" on Costco raising its iconic $1.50 hot dog combo price before 2027, driven by the retailer's longstanding loss-leader strategy and ironclad executive commitments. CEO Ron Vachris recently reaffirmed the price stability in Q1 2026 earnings commentary, citing robust membership fee revenue—bolstered by September 2025 hikes—and $69.6 billion in fiscal 2025 sales that absorb food cost inflation (equivalent to ~$4.50 adjusted). Late April 2026 menu tweaks added a bottled water option without altering pricing, underscoring dedication amid controlled supply chains for Kirkland Signature beef hot dogs. While sustained commodity spikes or strategic shifts could challenge margins, no such catalysts have emerged, with next quarterly earnings as a key watchpoint.
