Israel’s July 2026 cabinet approval allowed limited initial deployment of up to 200 personnel from contributors including Morocco, Kosovo, and Albania, subject to status-of-forces agreements and coordination with the IDF. As of mid-September 2026, the Board continues force-generation steps such as recent Participating Country Agreements and pre-deployment planning under U.S. command, yet full-scale entry remains stalled by sequencing disputes, Hamas disarmament requirements, and Israeli electoral pressures. Ceasefire violations reported in early September and scaled-back troop commitments add uncertainty to near-term resolution.
