Recent forecasts from the Met Office and multiple international models indicate a daytime peak near 32–33°C for Singapore on September 9 under prevailing southwest monsoon flow, with light southeasterly winds and only modest afternoon cloud cover or isolated showers. This aligns with Singapore’s September climatological average daily maximum of 31.6°C at Changi and supports the market’s strong 69% implied probability on 33°C, as traders weigh the consistency across ensemble guidance against the small chance of slightly cooler readings if convection develops earlier. Official NEA measurements tomorrow will resolve the market, with minimal risk of extremes given the absence of strong synoptic forcing.
