Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for September 10 point to mostly clear skies and lows in the mid-60s to low 70s across Los Angeles stations, consistent with typical early-September marine layer influence moderating overnight temperatures after a period of extreme heat. Lingering moisture from former Hurricane Marie has produced variable conditions and elevated humidity in recent days, contributing to forecast spread that leaves room for either stronger cooling or retained warmth depending on wind patterns and cloud cover. Historical averages near 64°F provide context, yet the market’s near-even split between sub-64°F and 82°F+ outcomes reflects trader focus on resolution criteria at specific reporting sites and the potential for rapid model shifts ahead of final observations.
