Current forecast models from the National Weather Service show overnight lows near 79°F for Houston on September 11, driven by persistent high humidity, light southerly winds, and scattered thunderstorm chances that limit radiational cooling. The near-even market split between sub-70°F and 88°F+ outcomes reflects genuine model uncertainty in boundary-layer mixing and cloud cover timing, which can swing minimum temperatures by several degrees. Historical September averages place typical lows around 73–75°F, but recent warm anomalies and variable steering patterns have widened the forecast envelope. Updated model runs and NWS briefings over the next 48 hours will likely tighten these probabilities as conditions evolve.
