Uncertainty in overnight radiative cooling rates under variable high-pressure influences and potential moisture from lingering monsoon patterns is driving the tight clustering of trader probabilities around 58–63°F for Denver’s minimum temperature on August 26. At roughly 5,280 feet elevation, Denver experiences amplified diurnal swings, where clear skies accelerate longwave heat loss after daytime highs near seasonal norms of 86°F, while even modest cloud cover or humidity from scattered thunderstorms can limit drops by several degrees. NOAA and NWS guidance shows model consensus near the 56–64°F historical range for late August but with spread tied to exact wind and dewpoint forecasts. Fresh model runs expected later today could sharpen resolution criteria around these thresholds.
