This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Toronto Pearson Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 2 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=cyyz If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event which there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Market-implied odds for Toronto’s September 2 minimum temperature remain tightly clustered (roughly 44–50%), reflecting substantial forecast uncertainty in the overnight low just 48 hours out.** Current short-range guidance from sources like WeatherBug, globalmeteo, yr.no, and Environment Canada-aligned outlooks points to a warm, humid air mass with daytime highs near 26–30 °C (79–86 °F) and overnight lows most likely in the 20–23 °C (68–73 °F) range—well above the long-term September 2 climatological average low of ~16 °C. Widespread cloud cover, scattered showers, and thunderstorms expected through the period will limit radiational cooling, while elevated dew points (near 20–22 °C) and light variable winds further suppress temperature drops. Slight differences among model runs—particularly in the timing and extent of any overnight clearing or thunderstorm outflow—create the spread between the leading 23 °C and 25 °C+ outcomes versus cooler possibilities around 16–19 °C. The narrow probability bands underscore how sensitive the final minimum remains to small changes in boundary-layer moisture, cloud persistence, and mesoscale convective activity before resolution.
