Ulf Prange leads trader pricing for the Oldenburg mayoral runoff because he topped the September 13 first round with 33.2 percent, ahead of Jascha Rohr’s 30.5 percent, in a nine-candidate field. The SPD nominee, a long-serving local councilor and state legislator, benefits from strong party organization and personal name recognition in the city. Rohr, backed jointly by the Greens and CDU as a non-partisan contender, advanced to the September 27 second round but trails in the initial tally. Lower odds on remaining candidates such as Heike Boldt and several independents reflect their failure to reach the runoff threshold. Elevated turnout and focus on housing costs plus municipal finances shaped the first-round outcome, with market prices now reflecting the two-candidate contest.
