Elon Musk’s recent comments at the All-In Summit have renewed trader focus on a potential Tesla-SpaceX merger, highlighting deepening collaboration across AI chip production at the planned Terafab facility, battery supply chains, satellite connectivity, and robotics initiatives. SpaceX’s June 2026 IPO created publicly tradable shares that could enable a stock-for-stock deal, while prior xAI integration and cross-company purchases of Megapacks and vehicles underscore operational overlap. Analysts note synergies in autonomous systems and orbital data infrastructure but stress that any combination requires formal board, shareholder, and regulatory approval. Upcoming catalysts include Tesla and SpaceX earnings calls that could clarify timelines or processes amid ongoing market-implied odds around 66% for an announcement by 2028.

An announcement by Tesla or SpaceX within this market's timeframe will qualify for a "Yes" resolution, regardless of whether or when the announced acquisition/merger actually occurs.
Announcements of partial sales may count, as long as the acquiring company acquires a controlling interest in the other company. A “controlling interest” refers to a change in ownership sufficient to control the company’s strategic decisions (typically more than 50% of equity, or equivalent control via voting and governance rights). Transactions or investments that do not result in a transfer of controlling interest will not count.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from Tesla or SpaceX; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
