Recent Flight 13 successes in July 2026, including intact Starship heat shield survival, in-space Raptor relight, Starlink V3 deployment, and controlled splashdown, combined with prior Super Heavy booster tower catches, have bolstered confidence in rapid progress toward full reusability of both stages. Elon Musk’s statements projecting a Starship upper-stage catch attempt soon and full rapid reflight likely in 2027 align with V3 design refinements and Raptor 3 engine improvements. The pending Flight 14 orbital test on September 22 adds momentum, though booster landing-burn reliability, FAA approvals, and first ship recovery remain key swing factors influencing the 66.5% market-implied odds for completion before 2028.
